Obliterated Families is an award-winning multimedia web documentary about families from the Gaza Strip whose lives were destroyed during the 2014 Gaza war. The documentary serves as both a tribute to their lives and a narrative of their deaths. It is extremely powerful in its ability to bring to life the victims of the Israeli assault. The authors took one such
statistic, 142—the number of families who lost three or more members—and turned it into an intimate tale of sudden loss, pain, and life in the aftermath of the attacks.

Among the many accolades this documentary has received are the Public Vote Award for Documentary at the Swiss Web Festival and the Best Multimedia Work from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The filmmakers, Ala Qandil and Anne Paq, will be traveling from Palestine to join the audience for a Q&A discussion following the film screening.
