Weaponizing Water to Erase Palestine
Water is life — and Israel’s systematic theft, restriction, and destruction of Palestinian water resources is extinguishing both daily survival and an entire way of life. While Israeli settlers consume over 350 liters of water per person daily, Palestinians in the West Bank survive on a fraction of that. In Gaza, deliberate deprivation and targeted destruction of water networks have pushed more than half the population below 6 liters per day, with 95% of the aquifer undrinkable. These are not mere "incidental disparities" but engineered tools of displacement and what many experts call ethnic cleansing. Our panel will examine how water is weaponized — and how we must respond.
